### Apply Now for Houston Community College’s Fall Goldman Sachs Program

Applications are currently being accepted for the fall session of the program sponsored by Goldman Sachs at Houston Community College (HCC). This initiative aims to assist local small business owners in expanding their enterprises.

The deadline for application submission is June 4. Given the limited class capacity, HCC will conduct interviews throughout the summer. Maya Durnovo, HCC’s associate vice chancellor for entrepreneurship, mentioned that around 30-35 finalists will be selected by early September.

The program’s curriculum, developed by [Goldman Sachs], emphasizes practical business skills crucial for the growth of small businesses, as stated by Durnovo. Babson, recognized as the top entrepreneurial school in the country by U.S. News & World Report, plays a key role in this endeavor.

Apart from financially supporting the program, Goldman Sachs provides expert support for each module, focusing on essential aspects of small business growth, Durnovo added.

The program is inclusive, welcoming participants from various regions, including Galveston and Baytown, reflecting its extensive reach.

Target Audience

Prospective candidates, upon selection, must show a strong commitment to investing their time and effort. The requirements include attending the program orientation, completing all assignments, engaging in extracurricular activities like networking events, and developing a business growth plan.

Classes are conducted at the HCC Alief-Hayes Campus Center of Entrepreneurship situated at 2811 Hayes Road, Houston, within the [HCC system].

Program Background

Since its inception at HCC in 2011, the Goldman Sachs program has graduated over 1,000 small business owners, according to Durnovo.

Testimonials from previous participants highlight the program’s impact on their businesses, with many noting the practical application of the knowledge gained.
