### Chandigarh News: Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Ranks 26th Globally

Hisar: Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, located in Hisar, achieved a notable ranking of 1,045th globally, earning a Grade ‘A’ and Band ‘Gold’ designation in the 2023 Global University Rankings in London. This esteemed position also places the university at 26th in India. Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi highlighted that among the 1,500 higher education institutes considered worldwide, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology stands out as the sole government university from Haryana to secure a position on this prestigious list.

In a recent development, seven students from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, successfully secured placements during the on-campus recruitment drive conducted by Flipkart Private Limited in collaboration with the university’s training and placement cell. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Narsi Ram Bishnoi, and Registrar, Prof. Vinod Chhokar, extended their congratulations to the selected students, expressing their best wishes for a prosperous future. Notably, 67 students from various departments participated in this recruitment initiative.

Furthermore, Youth Incorporated and Times of India unveiled their annual Undergraduate and B-School Rankings for 2024, spotlighting leading universities and business schools on a global scale. These rankings take into account factors such as artificial intelligence, personalized learning algorithms, the presence of Indian students in international educational settings, and the imperative for enhancements within Indian educational institutions.

The field of engineering in India garners significant interest, evidenced by the multitude of candidates undertaking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admissions. Karnataka boasts top-ranking institutions like IIIT-B, MSRIT, and RVCE, known for their specialized courses and outstanding performance in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). These colleges, situated in Bengaluru, have a stringent admission criterion requiring a minimum of 50% marks in the NTA-conducted exams. Additionally, they boast distinguished alumni who have excelled in various fields.
