3 Marlborough High Schools Ranked On 2024 U.S. News ‘Best’ List

MARLBOROUGH, MA — Several Marlborough high schools were ranked on the U.S. News & World Report 2024 list of the best high schools released Tuesday, including one ranked among the best in the state.

U.S. News picks the top high schools based on students who score high on math, reading and science assessments, as well as strong performance among under-served students. The magazine also counts graduation rates and college readiness as part of the assessment.

Here’s where Marlborough schools stood:

Marlborough High School

  • No. 267 in MA, 10,058 nationally
  • Highest score for college curriculum breadth (No. 185 in MA) for the number of students who take and pass AP and IB courses

Assabet Valley Vocational High School

  • No. 253 in MA, 9,244 nationally
  • Highest score for graduation rate (No. 118 in MA)

Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School (AMSA)

  • No. 4 in MA, 228 nationally
  • Highest score for college readiness (No. 7 in MA)

U.S. News ranked 405 high schools across Massachusetts, and 25,000 across the nation. The top schools in Massachusetts (ranked by national position) were:
