NNA – An official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI), signifying a significant partnership focused on advancing academic excellence and enriching the broader educational landscape. This collaboration aims to benefit both institutions by creating a cooperative environment for academic programs, faculty exchange, and research endeavors.
Signed by Dr. Zaher Dawy, the AUB provost, Dr. Yusuf Sidani, the dean of the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business at AUB, and Dr. Abdelwahab ElAffendi, the president of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, the MoU delineates specific protocols for initiating collaborative activities. These include facilitating student exchanges, sharing faculty knowledge through lectures and workshops, participating in joint research ventures, and designing specialized academic and training programs, including internships. Both organizations are dedicated to exploring joint initiatives to enhance academic opportunities and pursuits for all involved.
Dr. Yusuf Sidani remarked, “This MoU paves the way for expanded collaboration across various educational and research domains, aligning with our goal of reshaping business perspectives in the MENA region. We acknowledge the multitude of opportunities available to us for enhancing knowledge creation both locally and globally, within this region and beyond.”
